Throughout our 60 years, public sector projects have formed a key part of our workload. The basis of any public sector project is understanding the needs of the various stakeholders & building relationships, leading to trust & mutual benefit.

The Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and now Public Private Partnerships (PPP) have allowed unprecedented development of capital projects. Examples of our PFI-funded work include the £153m Stoke Schools project, & the £129m redevelopment of Lancaster University. We are also involved with a frameworks such as the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

Our education work spans across all sectors, including the University of Salford’s impressive new Faculty of Health & Social Care, and the award winning Thomas Deacon Academy, a specialist secondary school in Peterborough.

In healthcare, we have taken part in the national LiFT programme notably for the Manchester, Salford and Trafford (MaST) LiFT schemes including the multi-award winning Willow Tree Healthy Living Centre in Salford, and as part of the Staffordshire LiFT team.

We have also undertaken a number of hospital & primary care projects including specialist hospital facilities. Other significant projects include the £60m relocation of Greater Manchester Police’s headquarters, and the £8m Heywood Sports Village in north Manchester
