This project consists of a 128 bedroom suite hotel, and forms the first of this brand in the UK for the Intercontinental Hotels Group and is being developed by Trinity Hotels.

It presents a number of technical challenges including the requirement to build over and protect a buried section of  Hadrian's Wall, a 2000 year old Roman structure and a World Heritage site.

Work is well under way on site with the complex building and underground car park piled foundations in place, and the steelwork superstructure being constructed.
