The Belfry has been extensively developed over the last 20 years to provide enhanced golf facilities associated with the Ryder Cup. Shepherd Gilmour have provided structural design for this programme of extensions, including bedroom blocks, conference, banqueting and leisure facilities.
The current scheme is the most ambitious yet and involves a massive redevelopment of the entire site including the demolition and complete rebuilding of the Hotel, a 550-bed 7-storey building (including 2 basement levels), the PGA golf facilities and the re-modelling of the golf courses
