After an absence of four years, the Crowne Plaza brand has returned to Manchester with the opening of the 4-star 228-bed hotel on Manchester's Shudehill. Shepherd Gilmour were engaged as the consulting engineers for the project.

Shepherd Gilmour's Project Associate, Paul Quirk, commented, "It's great to see this project completed. The structural design was technically challenging given the exacting requirements of the client. We worked closely with the architect, Leach Rhodes Walker and the result is a fantastic hotel which continues the renaissance of Manchester.
