Shepherd Gilmour are pleased to announce that one of our major project’s Pollard Street, Manchester, has started on site.  The project, which has been in design since 2010, will be built in two phases and is being developed by Royal London Asset Management (RLAM). Phase 1 will be a 7-storey 150-bed Etap hotel along with 20,000sq.ft. of offices whilst Phase 2 will be a 50,000sq.ft development of offices and retail space. In total, the development will be around £20m in value.

The project team includes Cre8 Project Management and 5plus architects along with Galliford Try as the main contractor.

Commenting on the project, Ian Bruton, Shepherd Gilmour’s Director responsible for the project said, “I’m extremely pleased to see Phase 1 of this project start on site. It’s the culmination of months of complex design work and should prove a real boost to the continuing regeneration efforts of the Ancoats area in Manchester.”
