Shepherd Gilmour at the Venice Film Festival and on the BBC
Posted: August 2011
The scope and diversity of Shepherd Gilmour's work was recently displayed with 2 separate projects. Andrea Arnold's adapation of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights will be premiered at the Venice Film Festival. We were involved in carrying out reviews and feasibility work on derelict houses used in the film.
The other project is the BBC's production, The Body Farm starring Tara Fitzgerald, a spin-off series from Waking The Dead. For this, we designed the supporting steelwork for the staging where the 'bodies' are placed.
These projects follow on from our previous media work on shows such as ITV's Emmerdale.
Charlie White, the Director responsible for our Leeds office, comments, "These two media projects are an interesting addition to Shepherd Gilmour's portfolio, and shows the usefulness of structural engineering to the media world. It was fascinating to be part of the film and television process again, having worked with ITV previously on Emmerdale."
